  • Major companies such as Amazon,Meta,Microsoft,and Tata consultancy Service (TCS) are reducing  their workforce while increasing investment in AI and technology.

  • Amazon CEO Andy Jassy announced that due to the growing useAI and automation ,the company would cut abaout 14,000 corparate jobs so itcan focous more on AI-driven operation.

  • Similarly,Meta and Mcrosoft have also eliminated serval potition and are traning employs for AI related roles.

  • These layoff are not directly caused by AI replacing human,but because companies are adopting new technologies,restructurning their workforce ,and priortizingm employes with AI-related skill.

  • In 2024,around 218 companies collectively laid off over 1.12lakh(112,000) employes worldwild.

  • The technology and retaile sector (like Amazon,Intel,Lenevo,and eBay)faced the hightest number of job cut.

  • On the other hand,AI-related jobs are increasing,and worker with AI skill earn 56% higher salaries than the average.

  • Countries such as India,Brazil, and Saudi Arabia are seeng repied growth in AI-related hiring.
